Hi, I'm Jacklyn — a birth and postpartum doula serving Vancouver, WA, Portland, OR, and surrounding areas. I walk alongside families with faith, warmth, and steady presence, because no one should face one of life's most sacred moments alone.

Doula

Rooted in faith,
called to serve.

My path to this work began when I was pregnant with my third child. We couldn't afford a doula, so I did everything I could to become my own — and somehow convinced my husband to become one too. That experience planted a seed.

After another pregnancy and three more years, I began volunteering with Young Lives, a program supporting teen moms and young families. I saw up close just how much need there is for compassionate, knowledgeable support in the birth space — and I felt God calling me to answer it.

I'm a mom of four, a gardener, and someone who finds peace outdoors. When I'm not serving families, you'll likely find me in the garden or out in nature. I bring that same sense of calm and groundedness to every birth and postpartum visit — showing up fully, so you never feel alone.

Families I've had the
honor of serving

"

There aren't enough words to express how incredible Jackiie is! I wasn't sure if I wanted a doula when I was pregnant with my first baby. I interviewed a couple doulas before Jackiie, and my husband and I decided against hiring a doula — it is such a sacred and vulnerable place to bring someone into. However, we met Jackiie and that changed. She ended up being just what we needed and I don't know what we would have done without her.

During my very long labor, Jackiie was right there by my side and immediately felt like family. She was so knowledgeable, comforting, and encouraging the whole time. She has such a calming presence and was so supportive of my unmedicated birth plan. Her presence was everything I needed when my labor and delivery didn't go as I'd hoped or planned. She was a gentle and empowering guide and support to my husband as well.

I am absolutely hiring Jackiie for all my future births and can't recommend her enough.

Things families
often ask

Don't see your question here? I'd love to connect and answer anything on your mind — no question is too small.

Ask me directly
A doula provides continuous emotional, physical, and informational support throughout pregnancy, labor, and the postpartum period. Unlike a midwife or OB, I don't perform medical tasks — instead, I help you feel informed, calm, and supported. I offer comfort measures like breathing techniques and positioning, advocate for your wishes with your medical team, and keep your partner engaged and confident.
Not at all! A doula's role is to support your choices — whatever they are. Whether you plan to have an epidural, go unmedicated, or keep an open mind, I'm here to support you fully. My job is never to push an agenda, but to make sure you feel empowered and respected in every decision.
This is actually one of my favorite things to talk about. I'm not there to take over — I'm there so your partner can actually be present with you, rather than feeling lost or overwhelmed. I coach them, stand beside them, and make sure everyone in that room feels purposeful and connected. Most partners tell me afterward that having a doula made them feel more involved, not less.
The earlier the better! Many families reach out in their first or second trimester so we have plenty of time to build a relationship, create a birth plan, and attend childbirth education together. That said, I do take on clients later in pregnancy when my schedule allows — don't hesitate to reach out at any point.
Yes — I support births in hospitals, free-standing birth centers, and at home. I'm comfortable navigating all three environments and will adapt my support to wherever you feel safest and most at peace. Your space, your rules.
I maintain a network of trusted backup doulas who share my values and philosophy. If I am ever unable to attend your birth (an extremely rare occurrence), I will connect you with a backup doula in advance so you've already met them and feel comfortable. You will never be left without support.
A deposit is required to hold your spot. My current rates are $1,200 for birth-only support, $35/hour for postpartum care (3-hour minimum per visit), and $2,000 for the Full Journey Package which includes 2 prenatal visits, birth support, and 2 postpartum visits. I'm happy to talk through payment plans — reach out and let's find something that works for your family.
